Dontá Morrison
Community Change Agent | Host | Motivational Speaker
You will never know the value of a community until you become a part of one.

Dontá Morrison is a Los Angeles based community change agent focused on bridging gaps that will improve the lives of marginalized individuals. Currently, as the Associate Director of HIV Prevention Services at APLA Health & Wellness, he oversees several government funded programs that provide HIV and STI prevention strategies to those most at-risk for infection. He works tirelessly to change the way communities engage in conversations about sex, sexual behavior, and human sexuality. In addition, he serves in a consultative role with local non-profit organizations charged with bettering the lives of youth and young adults from diverse experiences and backgrounds.
As a presenter and moderator, his relatability and humorous approach to sensitive issues create comfortable dialogue that audiences appreciate. He is a member of Kappa Lambda Chi Military Fraternity, Inc. and a licensed minister within the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship; which strengthens his versatility and ability to engage an array of listeners.
HIV Plus magazine listed him as one of the top 20 most amazing HIV+ people of 2018. He is the recipient of numerous awards and recognized by many for his ambitious approach to sexual health within communities of color. Additionally, he has challenged the traditional Black church to be more inclusive and welcoming of persons from all sexual identities. Realizing that faith based sexual exclusion plays a negative role in how LGBTQ persons deal with self, he aims to shift the paradigm in that area.
Dontá has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services from Springfield College, Master of Arts Degree in Social Entrepreneurship & Change from Pepperdine University, and currently pursuing a Doctorate of Global Leadership at Pepperdine University. He is the author of two novels: The End of the Rainbow, and Yesterday Clarified, and host of the highly engaging "The Dontá Show" on Facebook Live and YouTube.

The End of the Rainbow
Tyrin and Khalil are two men who have earned the privelage of living well. A beach home in Malibu, expensive cars, business owners, and a promising future together. Their love surpasses expectation and some view them as the ultimate Black gay couple. They have surrounded themselves with a strong circle of friends and are determined to prove that two men can succeed at love. However, one phone call will forever change the course of their relationship and hurl the two into a whirlwind of betrayal, heartbreak and newfound spiritual refuge. Does love have limitations, or can it really conquer all? Discover what happens when the perfect love turns chaotic; and everyone in their circle is relentlessly impacted by a devastating mistake never meant to surface. Friendships are questioned, faith is put to the test and the prayers of a mother are answered in the most unsuspecting of ways.
Yesterday Clarified
The End of the Rainbow was only the beginning for Tyrin and Khalil. As they move forward in their individual lives, the drama they endured prior to the end of their relationship should have been enough. However, when new discoveries are made and key players come forth, one of them is forced to question his actions. Khalil Alexander has made many decisions in life. Now involved with a beautiful woman, he is struggling to make their relationship work and stay true to his pledge to God. His only problem is that everyone recognizes his ‘secret’ but him. Tyrin Chase has vowed to press on with life despite all the loss he has endured. Having accepted the role he played in certain situations, he refuses to duplicate the past. However, his love for Khalil has not subsided and when the time is right he will make it known to him; despite the opposition of his inner circle. Will the drama ensue or has a resolve finally found its way into their lives?
